Week 2 Video Reflection
Suggested Order for Faith Sharing
1. Begin with Prayer
You may light a candle and open a Bible. If possible you may start with a song. Together pray the opening prayer for Mass.
Opening Prayer for Mass for the Second Sunday of Lent found in the Roman Missal
O God, who have commanded us
to listen to your beloved Son,
be pleased, we pray,
to nourish us inwardly
by your word,
that, with spiritual sight made pure,
we may rejoice to behold your glory.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever. AMEN
2. Read the Gospel for Sunday Mass
Gospel: Luke 9:28b-36
Each person should have a Bible to follow along with the readings. The readings can also be found on the USCCB website at
https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/031625.cfm
3. Pause for quiet reflection.
4. Share words or phrases that struck you and why.
5. Questions for discussion for all to share.
The Scriptures record Peter, James and John’s reactions to the Transfiguration event. Which ones resonate with your spiritual experiences?
Why would Jesus revealed his glory and who he is to the three disciples?
Was there ever a time when a powerful experience left you silent?
6. Watch the parish video.
7. Offer Intercessory Prayers for various needs closing with the “Our Father”.
