  1. Begin with Prayer
  You may light a candle and open a Bible. If possible you may start with a song. Together pray the opening prayer for Mass.

  through the yearly observances
  of holy Lent,
  that we may grow in understanding
  of the riches hidden in Christ
  and by worthy conduct
  pursue their effects.

  in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
  God, for ever and ever. AMEN
  
  2. Read the Gospel for Sunday Mass

  4. Share words or phrases that struck you and why.
  
  5. Questions for discussion for all to share.
  Of the three temptations faced by Jesus in the desert, which one do you consider most relevant in your life?
  
  Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert. Have you ever felt led by the Spirit into a spiritual desert?
  
  How do you see Jesus responding to temptation and how does his way inspire or challenge you?
