What is Called?

Called is our high school (grades 9–12) youth ministry. It’s not another class or lecture — it’s a place where teens can belong, ask big questions, and discover what it means to live their Catholic faith in a post-Christian world.

Through community, conversation, prayer, and the sacraments, Called helps teens not only grow in faith, but learn how to witness as disciples in their schools, teams, families, and friendships.

Why Join Called?

High school brings change — new schools, new pressures, shifting identities, and louder voices from culture. Called is a steady space to help teens:

• Be heard, supported, and challenged to live with courage.

• Explore real questions about purpose, truth, and identity.

• Grow in relationship with Jesus in the sacraments.

• Discover they are not alone — they are part of a Church family that walks with them.

This isn’t Sunday school — it’s a community of disciples learning how to be saints today.

NEW for 2025 — The Dwell Retreat

Saturday, November 22, 2025 | 8AM–8PM | Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul

Dwell is a one-day retreat for high school teens. Inspired by retreats like Journey and Youth 2000, it gives teens space to step away from the noise and discover a true dwelling place with God.

The retreat includes:

• Talks from parish priests, Sisters, and lay leaders

• Games, small groups, and honest conversation

• Evening Adoration, Benediction, and Compline (Night Prayer)

Dwell sets the tone for Called: not just programs, but real encounters that form disciples who can go forth with confidence and always return home to Christ and His Church.

  The Big Story — Salvation history and God’s revelation woven into our lives

• Nov 2, 2025 — Praying for the Dead (Vespers, MS + HS)
  Liturgical Prayer — Remembering the faithful departed as one family of God

• Nov 16, 2025 — No High School Meeting
  (Edge meets this night; Called prepares for retreat)

• Nov 22, 2025 — Dwell Retreat (Basilica, 8AM–8PM)
  High school retreat — Encounter, sanctuary, Eucharist, and Compline

• Dec 14, 2025 — Advent Penance & Adoration (MS + HS)
  Confession and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament

• Dec 27, 2025 — Christmas Party (MS + HS)
