Two Sisters from the Children of Mary Community will be traveling from their Motherhouse in Ohio to join us at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul for a special day dedicated to prayer, discernment, and the beauty of religious life.
On this Vocations Day on November 23 at 2:00PM, young women (ages 13 and up) are invited to encounter the joy of consecrated life—through conversation, prayer, and fellowship with the Sisters. The afternoon will include a talk on vocations, a time of Adoration, chanted Evening Prayer, and dinner with the Sisters in the Basilica Hall.
Their visit is a gift and an inspiration for our parish community. To help cover travel and hospitality costs, we invite your support through prayer and, if you are able, a financial donation. Every contribution helps make this encounter possible and supports the ongoing work of nurturing vocations to the priesthood and religious life here in Maine.
How You Can Help:
Make a one-time donation toward the Sisters’ travel and event expenses
Sponsor part of the day’s meals or materials
Offer a Mass or holy hour for an increase in vocations
Donations may be made securely online or by check payable to Prince of Peace Parish (please note “Children of Mary / Vocations Day” in the memo).
Let us continue to pray that hearts may be open to God’s call, and that through encounters like this, the beauty of religious life may shine brightly in our midst.
