Please join Fr. Raja and our Prince of Peace Parish as we pray a Rosary for World Peace on Saturday, October 4th beginning with a Mass at 8:30 AM at Holy Trinity Church. Beginning at 9:30 AM, we will meet in the public parking lot of the former Worumbo Mill on the corner of Lisbon and Canal Streets.
Our procession will be led by a statue of Our Lady. Along the way hymns will be sung, and the rosary will be prayed for Peace in our world. Our procession will conclude with The Litany of Our Lady and closing prayers back in the parking lot.
From there, all are invited back to Holy Trinity Church Hall for a potluck luncheon. Please consider bringing your favorite hot or cold dish to share! You may drop it off in the hall before or after Mass.
For those who cannot walk with us, the procession will be live-streamed in the Church Hall at Holy Trinity so all may participate in asking for Our Lady’s intercession.
To the families and youth of Prince of Peace Parish: The Prince of Peace Parish would like to invite the youth/children of the Parish to create their own banner depicting their vision of World Peace! These banners will be collected and put on display at our “Rosary for World Peace” procession coming up on Saturday, October 4th. The Prince of Peace Parish will provide a 9” X 11” felt fabric to decorate in portrait layout, using any form of medium (markers, paint, felt, fabric crayons, etc.) what they think “World Peace” looks like to them! Parents, ask your children, “what does World Peace mean or look like to you?” It is a very big question even for adults to answer. To quote Pope Leo XIV“, Peace begins with each one of us: in the way we look at others, listen to others and speak about others.” Beginning Sunday, September 7th, felt fabric will be available for youth/children/families to create a banner of “World Peace”. The banner will be on display at the start of the Rosary Procession. Please return your completed banner to the church no later than Sunday, September 28th. World Peace is a lot to think about, but what if we can envision it through the eyes of a child!
